“Who is offering these studies?” you are most likely asking.

I know I would be asking, and wanting to make sure it is not some strange group. So here it is… full disclosure.

The lessons were written by myself, Douglas Hammett.
I am working under Lehigh Valleby Baptist Church, Emmaus, Pa.

How I ended up here is a long story, so I won’t bore you with the details…but suffice it to say I was raised in a church setting and told the Bible was from God.
But I was also told that I could not understand the Bible and needed the pastors from the church to tell me what it said.

I never really questioned that until my dad was killed in a work accident.
Then I wanted answers… and I wanted facts to back the answers up.
Lets just say I did not get the facts… I was just told to trust the church and give money to pray for my father.

That set me on a path of investigating for myself and eventually led to understand the Bible IS the Word of God AND it CAN BE understood.
It is not a mysterious book, but one that many people do not take time to understand.

These lessons are an outgrowth of that discovery and were written over 30 years ago.
The lessons have now been taken by students in over 25 countries and literally thousands have benefited.

I have given more than 40 years of my life to teaching and preaching the Bible since that discovery.
I have trained other preachers to do the same and together we have helped thousands of people to understand the main message of the Bible and to come into a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Presently my life is coming to a close and I am investing what time I have to teach everyone I can about this main message.
After 38 years of pastoring churches in the USA, I am working in Africa and the United States.

My lessons I teach are not how to be a Baptist, they are simply helping you understand the Bible better.
I will say I think if you study the Bible and follow the truths contained therein, you will end up a Baptist, but that is a story for another day.
